Free Paws Center: care for dogs, opportunity for people
In many communities, free-roaming dogs and people live side by side without enough safety, care or understanding. Dogs may be hungry, injured or frightened; residents can feel anxious about illness or bite incidents; and young people often lack access to training or meaningful work. Free Paws Center was created to connect these challenges instead of treating them separately.
Not a traditional shelter
Free Paws is being developed as an open, compassionate centre where street dogs can find food, clean water, medical attention and safe places to rest — with as little unnecessary confinement as possible. The aim is not only to rescue individual dogs, but to create a long-term, locally supported model that improves life for dogs and the people around them.
Working with shelters and rescue organisations
Free Paws also welcomes partnerships with shelters, rescue groups and community initiatives worldwide. Together, we can build practical, compassionate approaches to dog behaviour, welfare, safe handling, education and long-term prevention.

For the dogs
Daily food and water, medical care, vaccination and parasite prevention, recovery support and thoughtful observation of health and behaviour. Sterilisation is part of the long-term approach to reduce suffering and prevent new generations of vulnerable dogs.
For people
Practical learning opportunities in animal care, grooming and behaviour support can help young people and residents build confidence, skills and future work opportunities. Education also makes everyday contact with dogs safer and kinder.
For the community
Workshops for children, families and local partners create understanding around dog behaviour, welfare, safety and responsible care. This turns fear and conflict into knowledge, shared responsibility and more peaceful communities.
A model that creates change on two fronts
When dogs receive care and people receive education and opportunity, the result is more than an animal project. It becomes a locally owned movement for safety, dignity, empathy and sustainable welfare.
